How to add minimal cart value to your offer
Require a minimum cart value before showing a discount offer
Set a minimum cart value so your discount or upsell only appears when the customer’s cart reaches a specific amount. This helps protect your margins and encourages higher average order value.
Before you start
- You must already have an offer created.
- This is an optional setting inside the offer trigger configuration.
- The value is based on the customer’s current cart total.
Steps
- Go to your offer in the Upsell Popup by Jumi app.
- Scroll to Offer trigger configuration.
- Locate the Min cart value field.
- Enter the minimum cart total required (for example, 50 USD).
- Save your changes.

How it works
- The offer will only appear if the customer’s cart total is equal to or greater than the value you set.
- If the cart value is below this amount, the offer will not trigger.
- This works alongside other trigger conditions like product selection or quantity.
Best practices
- Use this to increase AOV: For example, only show a discount when the cart reaches 50 USD to push customers to add more items.
- Combine with product targeting: Pair a minimum cart value with specific products or collections for more relevant offers.
- Avoid setting the value too high: If the threshold is unrealistic, the offer may never show.
Troubleshooting
Offer not showing? Check that:
- The cart total meets or exceeds your Min cart value.
- Other trigger conditions are also satisfied.
- The offer priority is not being overridden by another offer.
Next steps
- Test your offer by adding products to the cart and confirming the popup appears at the right threshold.
- Review your offer performance and adjust the value to optimise conversions and AOV.
